coming from an offroad background myself, you'll be overwhelmed by different choices of bodyshells in the market!

Just stock up on your tires, all modern race chassis are great

Hobbywing ESC (120A and a programme card) and a Speed Passion motor.

The Hobbywings are so easy to work with!

A single battery is enough too

I would say check with the place you are going to race at, what they allow and don't allow don't get stuck with something you buy out of impulse and can't use on the track. I race both on and off-road. Do your research before you jump to conclusions

Not the best speedy to get...

You want a sensored ESC with dynamic timing... dont need to understand that just yet... get in contact with cobraracing he will sort you out.

As for a chassis, here is a good link (also sells batts, chargers and so on)
http://www.topracing.net.au/shop/ind...&productId=327

Nice car (mine is on its way... should be here today or tomorrow!)

Depends on how much you want to spend ie second hand or new.

Back to the speedy.... get on the Aussie forum, or the hobbywing/xerun forum to find cobra. He sells Hobbywing speed controls and will point you in the right direction.
I personally run the hobbywing... first at my cub to get one... and they are catching on now as they are THE BEST bang for buck.

Cheers
Phill
