Default Lipo puffing????

Has anyone had issues with there lipo's puffing after 4-5 months of usage?

As stated in the IP thread someone started these battery's seem to be doing it but how about other manufactures; Orion, SMC, Thunder Power, Trak Power, 3racing, Pro Match, Reedy etc?

I have had no problems with my Thunder Powers nor has anyone I know who runs them. They also seem to run like new after many months. I guess you really do get what you pay for with Thunder Powers.

I've only had one TP battery puff on me, but all my SMC batteries managed to puff on me in a few months.

When lipos puff, am I supposed to stop using them? I noticed that my SMC pack was puffed yesterday but performance doesn't seem to be effected.

I've been told that you could still use a lipo that is slightly puffed, but once you see the hard case split at the seams, it's time to stop using it. And I have seen people use lipos in this state without any problems. But you're running the risk of something happening.

I've had all my SMC lipos puff at some point (1s, 2s stick and saddle). Sucks because I've had two 1s for my 1/12 scale, five 2s sticks for my touring car, and four 2s saddles for my b44. I've had one of my two Thunder Power 1s lipos puff.
