Just to be clear, there used to be no body list. BUT THIS EXACT TYPE OF COMPLAINING DIRECTED AT CARS THAT ARE RACING PROTOTYPES - DAYTONA PROTOTYPE IS IN THE NAME CORRECT????????? - PROMPTED THE LIST. IMMEDIATELY, THE DP PEOPLE STARTED COMPLAINING.
I am not at your track. I can't stop you from running this DP body if you love it with so much passion. Your track director will probably not care. But the next step will be Porsche 962s and "wedge" bodies, which will probably cause just as much consternation. So this is where we are at. Nobody is ever happy, so that probably proves we are doing it right.

So now racers can complain that a body is being used from a vehicle that really doesn't exist yet lol

Exactly my point, a body based on a prototype car that has been produced for 6 years now is banned but at the same time a body based on a concept vehicle is on the "list"

Can I make the body legal when they finish the cars? How bout I just do it now? Yeah, that's what i'm gonna do

Weight
Another way I added weight to a light car was to use wheel hubs that are molded like disc brakes. Sometimes it's hard to find a spot for a bunch of weight on the chassis. The drift class has brought some of these items up to awesome detail. Sometimes it's also cool to look good while going fast

When the father to USGT, GT10 began, it was more popular than VTA because of the cultural diversity that exists here in Southern California. Guys from all over the world who lived here identified with a different group of cars while growing up. They wanted to run exotics that most of us would never be able to afford. So out they came! The Lambo's, Ferrari's, Porches ect were all out. We ran spoked wheels on HPI X pattern tires. But we also had mirrors, windshield wipers and rear exhausts as mandatory with authentic paint schemes and assigned car numbers. All of these body add-ons will add some weight to your chassis. You can get most of these items today on the drift rc sites
