How long does it usually take for a reply after paying to join the points series? I was just curious as I had signed up late this past Friday and the only thing I have to show for it yet is my Paypal invoice and wih another race coming up I would like the points to start counting for something.

It would be better to post your question in the points series thread here...

http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...mpionship.html

I'm just guessing here but I think the guys running it address this stuff about once a week on Wednesdays with the points updates. They are usually pretty good about responding to questions posted in the forum.

Quick question those of y'all familiar with the two HPI 350Z bodies offered. They have the Greddy 350Z and the Nismo 350Z. Is there a difference in the bodies? I know the Greddy comes with the plastic wing, but it looks like it also comes with a Lexan wing, too. I'm sure the decals are different, but I don't really care about that. I just want to know the differences between them before buying anything.

Thanks!
Tommy

Thanks! Now I just hope the width of the rear fenders isn't too wide. I'm concerned it is and will look silly with 24mm wheels. We'll soon see!

I have the 350 nismo also but never painted it. It'll be interesting to see how that handles.

My $.02.

I can see your point, BUT, for some on a limited budget it's better to spend the money once and buy good equipment the first time out. It can get very expensive to buy lower tiered equipment, then go out 3-4 months later to upgrade, then upgrading again in another 4-6 months.

After being away form RC racing for 25 years I went out and bought 2 TC6.2s within 3 months of each other. I equipped them with higher end electronics, batteries and motors (etc.) and I only had to spend the money once.

I'm just starting to tweak systems on the cars to get better performance and the best part is the cost is minimal. Shock oil, motor timing adjustments, a front diff, springs, sway bars and gears are not a big expense.

For those of us that can't afford 2-3 wholesale changes (or upgrades) yearly buying once makes a lot more sense.

Consistency comes with practice good equipment comes at a cost, so it's a matter of priorities...and available cash, and everyone's situation is different.

Damn, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings by expressing a different line of thinking than yours. I thought this was an open forum where different ideas can be exchanged without someone getting their feelings hurt....my mistake.

Looks like the boiling asphalt got you on that one, John!

So I was thinking picking up an HPI S2000 for my next lid. Like my NSX, the hoodline looks pretty low. Anyone currently running one have any issues with clearing their front shock tower? On my Mi4, the NSX body actually rests on the shock tower. I know some of the newer cars this isn't much of an issue.
