This is what happens when an "approved body list" rears its ugly head.
|
Yeah. But as stated before, it really comes down to your local track. I'm sure if they don't want to lose racers, they'll let you run whatever body within reason. If you don't like the list, just don't race USGT at an event that goes by that list. If it really matters to everyone, then they will have low turn outs and maybe they'll get the message. If not, then that means everyone sucked it up and dealt with it. Personally, I like they way it was before. It appealed to more people because it allowed them to run their "dream" car or whatever. But I do like the less weight rule. Now a lot of people at the track can ditch the lead sticks on their cars. Especially those with lead all over the batteries. Anyways, carry on...

IMHO, this is all much ado about nothing. Just pick a body on the list that you like, and race it.
I have a couple of now 'non-compliant' bodies that are good until Aug. 1st and I'm going to race the snot out of them, not worrying about making them last. :D Whining on this forum isn't going to make RobK change his mind, that's for sure! I'm sure that the changes were thought out ahead of time and I'm VERY certain they anticipated the backlash. If people quit because they can't run a body in USGT, they weren't very serious about it in the first place. Just my 0.02 worth... PS...I gotta find one of those Shelby Cobra 427 bodies.... |
You know how locals are, they will quit over anything.
