If you run shock bladders and the shocks had a proper oil level, I would doubt the shock oil emulsifying being an issue. A loose screw or a shock collar moving are more frequent culprits.

Thanks for the input. I still have to open the shocks up and take a look. Everything was tight, just the shocks felt really soft, perhaps a bladder failed or a c-clip for the the pison came loose.

When one of my shocks has been low on oil, that corner would be more like a pogo stick, bouncing up-and-down undamped.

How do you guys get these cars up to minimum weight? I need 70 grams on my USGT and 130 on my Vta.

Thanks

I put a sheet of lead under my battery and the rest of the required weight on the front bumper.

I first add weight to the left or right side, to equal the balance, then I add as much as I can, in the center , under the belt.

TRF419 has been by far the most remarkable drivable car I have ever owned. The speed you can carry into corners is frightening.. the limiting factor is my belief that I'm going to wreck and I hold back. Nonetheless It's allowed me to focus on my own limits as a driver and has greatly increased my confidence.

Prior to the 419 I ran the TB04 Pro II - Similar drive trains as EVO6.. It's a good car but not a 419.

As with any TCs the 419 has its week points.. Main one being the C hubs. If you hit things like I do, you will break them. Switching out the kit foam bumper with the hard one from X Ray, will help a lot.

The 419 can run X-Ray C hubs? Without any modifications?

Well.. that sure as hell would be a pretty killer combination of performance and durability. Not that my eye would stray from orange anodizing (again), but still

I also use the TRF 419
For the C-hub i switched to the TA-05 C-hub , they are more "flexible" , it helped a lot.
i aslo ordered some aluminum C-Hub for TB04 , they'll come soon. i'll see if it worth the money

Did the hubs work without running on the DCJ's, or did you have to modify them a bit?

The Xray Chubs are wider but can be filed down to make work. I have a TA06 and it seemed like every time I put the car on the track a Chub would break, whether I hit something or not. Filed down some 4* Chubs from TC and they worked. I have yet to break a Chub.

I have used both the TA05 and 418/419 style C Hubs. Both break just as easily. The TA05 C hubs work fine with DCJ. The 418/419 style make it easier to service the DCJ since they can be removed with the C Hub and Steering arm attached.

I have not tried the X Ray C hubs.. do they use a 2.6 mm suspension shaft as well?

Thanks to lots of shoe goo and lead weights my USGT now makes legal weight.
