JCarr has seen me drive, he ran over me a few time with his bug. I need more practice before I drive up there. I had to replace some of the boards he talked about!

Nahhhhh, Just go race!!! You'll have fun, you'll learn alot, and you get the opportunity to peel Tony Williams.(The last one makes me wanna build a USGT car:sneaky::lol:)

Has anyone run a FWD car succesfully in USGT? I have a Tam FF02 that I would like to get some use but am afraid it wont be competitive with the 4wd cars on the track.

these are two bodies Ive run recently..both work great...and here are some from the Nats ....

All HPI bodies....blue Mustang, green NSX, and purple Nissan...all worked great...I think the winner ran a red MR2 next to the Lexus

McAllister Racing

nice...but for me its real borderline...between GT and 12th scale...imo

I like the body, but it is not a GT body, it's a prototype. I have wondered when those would start to pop up in here though.

Unfortunately, that's not our car in the pic :(. It was an MR-S GT300 from Kyosho that we ran though, if anyone can find it let me know cuz I need another one for the nats showdown against Batman:lol:

I have been looking at the FF cars, and after checking the weight, an FF03 with the stock plastic chassis was like 1320g. I think the FF weight should be lowered to a. improve competitiveness and b. require a little less lead. A graphite plastic or plate graphite car is going to be even lighter.

Has anybody been running FF with 4wd? . If so, would getting the weight down be helpful? I have an FF car, but i have not raced it in USGT yet

yeah that car is cool, but doesn't really seem like a GT car.

The pics of GT cars with lights are awesome. Would be cool to see them all race that way.

DARKSIDE 02-13-2012 12:22 PM

I run lights in all my USGT cars and now in my VTA too

I tried running my FF03 with our GT cars last year and it worked pretty well but just not up to the 4WD. Handled well enough just would not come off the corners with the 4WDs so was always at a disadvantage. I didn't have a gear diff but still don't think that would help enough. I didn't try it way lighter than the GT cars but I just don't think it would be enough. They aren't way way off the pace but my 4wd was always faster than my FF03.
