So with all the back and forth about bodies I am completely confused and feeling a little dizzy. Is the Mazdaspeed Prototype Furai legal or not at the national level?

I've run the HPI 190 rx-7, it runs pretty good. Plenty of front and rear grip. I've got a new one in package if your interested. Going to give another body a try. I just like to change things up. Thats why Iblike this class. So many choices.

At the national level for USGT, yes, it is legal.

If your local club RD doesn't allow prototypes then it may not be legal.

EDIT: Howard beat me to the response by a minute. That's what I get for multitasking with many windows open.

Are there Roar rules for this class? I looked on the website but couldn't find anything.

Thanks for the help.

This isn't a ROAR-sanctioned class. It was dreamed up by Rob, Kevin, and perhaps a few others that I don't know about. It's quite amazing how it has grown so much; where I race, it's bigger than the ROAR classes. (The same goes for USVTA.)

Considering Rob is now the ROAR Technical Director, it wouldn't surprise me if it were adopted by ROAR at some point in the future.

Rules are here:

I should have mentioned this earlier, the best place I've found to order HPI and PROTOform products is http://www.advantagehobby.com/59345/HPI7335/. Excellent service from these guys.

Yes the HPI 911 comes with 2 wings. Definitely use the bigger one for best handling.

I just ordered mine from TQRC, they always have superb service even if I paid a few more dollars for the body. But yeah, I'll paint it up and slap the big wing on it. Nothing like a little change to stir the handling pot

Just wanted to let you know, it was an HPI 350Z - sorry it wasn't a Tamiya.

Adam, good choice. Loved that body! It's also super light, as well as the RX-7.

Here's my new ride I just finished, its a retro livery that was first used on the Nissan Skyline "Super Silhouette" race car back in the early 80's. Thought it turned out alright. Stoked to get this thing on the rug!
