This isn't in the official rules right? I mean we are only talking about an event that a track wants to have right?

No, its not an official rule. All this BS was started by one driver, that seems to want the racing format adjusted to suit his taste.

I guess you would be referring to me. We are just doing it for one race The Tuning Haus race at The Gate. We did it at a couple of club races just to see how it would work. Sorry to get you all worked up over nothing. Sometimes you have to try new things.

In spite of the exchange on the last few pages. You should be free to try new things at your local track and to talk about it in here. I know several have had opinions about the idea, pro and con, but I think it is worth trying at the race like you have planned even though I personally am not crazy about the idea of having to do a pit stop. You are not affecting the national rules and those who think the idea is terrible should simply not sign up. Those who do sign up will be open to the idea and I am sure the event will go over well.

I say it's one race. Don't flinch. Just do it like you planned. If it doesn't work out well then you can change it next time.

I like the longer races and the "strategery" of having pit stops. I would love to make your race next weekend, but "my life" has other plans.
BTW....I meant the guy from Austin.

Come on now Chuck. It isn't that bad. Did you know that you are listed #25 most popular RC racer in the USA? That list goes to 30. Not too shabby.

We've hosted a couple USGT enduro races at our track and included a pit lane for battery changes. It was an absolute blast and the only change we made from the standard USGT rules was that you had to run a 4.5 FDR.

I was admiring that shell, then did a double take when I noticed the transmitter. Looks almost identical to my M12 wrapped with black handlebar tape.

lol yeah similar to handle bar tape but these are the Yonex grip. It's humid in my area and it's a life saver for sweaty palms.

Just because someone comes up with a idea that YOU don't agree with its BS??? REALLY? The good news is that if the format is something that a racer doesn't like, THEY DONT HAVE TO GO TO THE RACE! But if you would like to try something different come out to The Gate next weekend. It's going to be a fun weekend.

That was my point exactly...and if I had the time and $$$, I would love to make the trek to your track next weekend.

Proof that a one color paint job can still look nice if it's done right.

I use tennis racket tape on mine. It's pretty good defense against the swampy palm.

Me too. I would love to be up that way for. Considering buying an elio just so I can make it to these races that are halfway across the country.
