Me and a couple of friends was/is running the 6.5T version and they are running really well! Too much power for us though.
Very smooth and exponential like throttlecurve and a really good feature is that you can internaly limit the power in 10% intervals wich seems to give a mouch better feel than limiting from the transmitter. My friends are running them at 70% power and it is plenty for 2WD buggy.
The only drawback we have found is that the Lipo cutoff doesn't seem to work.
Even set to its highest setting of 3.4v/cell it seams to run the battery way down.

Just get hobbywing. It is proven.

The esc you reffering to is most likely the Feigoa 100amp unit that was also sold by SP but not for long.

I'm running that HK 5200 system in my 4WD SCT. I've won every single race I've entered it in:
It's a good system, and the ESC is compatible with all sensorless motors, as well as Novak, LRP and Orion motors. So once you get it, the possibilities are endless.

it would be cheaper, and just as good, to buy this esc:
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=8993
and one of the KD36 motors, such as this:
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=6673
and, of course, the programming card
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=9550
Combo is $100...
separate items, meaning you can select the most suitable motor, will cost $75
