I assume they would have had the same tyres as naoto as they are both contracted to yokemo for 12th, there were just not enough chassis going round

Associated used to sell Yokomo tires years ago, They were quite good. I wish they would do some kind of a deal again.

They were very good, I still have some.
But those are not what they used at World Events.

Oh, I know. I just wish someone could get Yokomo to bring more of their 1/12TH stuff here.

Congrats to Naoto-san. How awesome can someone be? That set of mains was like Doseck's WC in 1990. Just sheer domination. When Masami's your tire-slave, you know you're pretty damn good....

And props to my CRC teammate Jilles for a nearly flawless run in A3 to lock down P2! Great drive.

Not so sure on that, Marc was using a Parma/Jaco/Mobgums wheel (difficult to tell the colour, lol) so doubt that's Yok rubber on there.

One thing that stood out for me, is Naoto seemed to just have more rip out of the tight corners. The way he got by Josh and Jilles stood out to me... Looked like more poney to me..

Deffiently looks like the decision to carpet over Yatabe paid off for practise

Better forward bite would contribute heavily to better off apex acceleration. Could be tires, or chassis set-up.

That rear axle he was running could have something to do with being able to get the power down easier.

looked like naoto had more rear grip overall. But i also think he took another line through the corners, that maybe why he could pass. And he probably had much punch out of the corners

Ehh risky...maybe but I'm inclined to think not. Yatabe arena has been covered in carpet to prepare for this race. Not to mention, Masami is his mentor. So who do you think Naoto practiced against all this time? The MASTER himself; so running a tight line like he was doing...I'm sure he was plenty used to it

Agreed!

I just watched A2 and I'm still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor. Naoto put in one heck of a drive after a huge mistake. A drive like that is impressive to begin with, but the fact that he was competing against the best of the best only adds to the madness! Way to go Naoto! You earned it!
