Would it be safe to say that this "new" Xray is going to be almost exactly like the Tamiya 416x?

As you look down at the motor, you will notice the motor isn't perfectly parallel to the weave lines in the carbon fiber chassis. That's a real good indication it's bent. The good news is that it's easy to get it back straight. Just be careful, check it closely and use something plastic to keep from scratching it.
yea that's kind of where I thought the motor mount was weak. So that makes sense. Many small changes are coming so I'm sure that's a big one. Yea it's going to look a lot like a 416x, according to my sorce. I don't claim to know for sure, but my sorce has been good. I hope Xray can improve some things over it and make the motor mount stronger as well.

I hope Xray will bring back the nice quality they had back on the 008. The milled edges were nice. I sure wish they would change the color. I hate orange. Maybe black with the edges milled silver would be nice.

Default A free floating spur gear adaptor will be nice.

It will be nice to remove the spur easier without removing the upper deck. I hope the toe blocks look more like the HPI Pro 4 or the Cyclone. I don't like big chunky ones like the old TC4 or the thin rear of the T3. It's got to look clean, sleek and solid. lol

What source? You still sound like someone making things up as you go along.

I don't know every detail about it, so yea, I still have questions. All I know is than many small changes are coming. Many of the minor changes are to the bulk heads, bulk head braces, ditching hinge pin holders, spur gear adaptor change, upper deck, lipo chassis, and slight different arms is what I've heard.

What I hope to see as well is a stronger motor mount, nice shaped toe blocks, toe block shims, and a spec "R" version sooner. lol

.....and he asks and answers his own questions. Something amiss here with these posts. It would be awfull to find out it is a rival trying to create doubt in order to slow the momentum of T3 sales

Here's an interesting picture of Nicholson holding what is supposedly an Xray (another racer's)??? The paint scheme is a little like Surikarn's. Underneath that body is something that doesn't resemble a T3...

Surikarn is pitting for Simon, definately looks like a new steering system, i would suggest a dual bellcrank with drag link like the 416.

No doubt Simon is returning the favour by helping Surikarn where he can.

Top deck is a little reminiscent of the TCX too. Well from what little of it you can see of it...

Good to see even the pro's use good ol lead tyre weights! All we can see here is the twin bellcrank steering and a new top deck. We will have to wait a little longer to see if all the rumors of new suspension blocks and bulkheads are true.

Hmm, whats this...no shaft drive..LOL!

THat belt looks even further over than on most 'flipped' drivetrains.

Default Oh I hope they don't change the steering design.

I like how easy it is to change ackerman. That was ingenious, but I've hear people complained of steering angle change when the chassis flexes. I hope they can still keep how you can change the ackerman of their current design and not flip the servo position. I like how the servo is mounted now. I can't wait to see how they do it.
