Default Need to poke a hole in the tire?

i see offroad 8th scale have a hole in tire . Are they needed for electric 10th scale.?

If there isn't already a hole in the rim, you need one in the tire.

In offroad the hole in the does a better job of keeping dirt/moisture out. There needs to be a hole or two somewhere.
