Default Tc4 still a competitor?

Hi im getting back into racing after a couple yrs off. I just picked up a tc4 with a lrp spx stock spec, 17.5 pulse brushless motor(duo 2 on order) 2 smc lipo packs threaded alum shocks and a ton of parts for a good price cheaper than what the electronics would cost. I will be racing at a parking lot track with rubber tires with a r9r body agenst tc5's and the ocational xray. I just remember my xray evo 2 chassie having a hard time keeping up with tc4's in the straits back in the day.

Also is the lrp spx any good? I realy want the tekin but thats down the rd.

So any insite would help.

Thanks

This is a vary good car for a novice driver. Even for a sportsmen driver. It has a rock solid chassis, so it's great for learning your driving line, because if you do hit something the car will shrug it off and keep on going. And after two and a half years of driving my TC4, I still have the original A-arms on there.

Some people think that the latest technoligy will make them faster, the only thing that will make you faster is skill. The TC4 is a great car, learn to make it faster (good setup and practice will get you further than anything) Good luck!

Tc4 still very good with 17.5. Any faster though you may want to use belt drive.

the TC4 will decimate all, after you put $15,000 into it & overnight parts from japan

I run a a TC4 in spec classes with this chassis setup http://www.diggitydesigns.com/D3_OnR...LR8V2_Kit.html . It is inexpensive for all you get and performes better than half of some of the more expensive cars. The machining and parts quality are second to none, check it out.
