Default Speed Passion Cirtix R8 for 1/8 onroad chassis

Hello from France,

I'm looking for a speedo for the Serpent 966E (1/8 onroad chassis).

I was looking first towards:

- Tekin RX8 + 2650 motor
- LRP SPX8 + 2500 motor

But now, I saw the Cirtix R8 + 2500 motor with a great price!!!

Anybody to tell me how reliable it is?
Is it a good alternative fromTekin or LRP??

Thx for answers.

Au revoir,

Romuald

I am with Speed Passion and has the exact system on my 966e, planning to run this weekend. I hope I can have some good result.

I am running 2500 slotless with the Speed Power 4600mah 35C saddle packs. Gearing @ 45/20...I don't know exactly how will that run but will find out. But yes...for that price, you just can't beat it.

I have friend running the LRP unit...ESC acting weird (manual said the drag brake cannot be set below some % which is totally odd) and the motor bushed in like less then 3 runs...

Tekin and Mamba...definitely a good system to run, especially running 6S. After I tested the 4S 966e with SP unit...I will test the TEKIN RX8 2050 unit with 6S lipo....my guess is, the 6S is a better, safer, faster system to try, but the 4S unit is very nice for about 6 minutes run....

Cirtix is only 1 of the Speed Passion 1/8th system....

I am going to test the new revised/updated SILVER ARROW 2 system with Silver Arrow 2 motors....
