It'd be cool if it had 20 amp discharge and phase charging implemented

I'd say it needs a 30 amp discharge instead.

Well, if there were differences, it would be just right to get the Pulsar Comp 2 as your 2nd charger. Coz I doubt the new functions would totally takeover the old ones.

same here LEM, just got my pulsar last week

seriously though, a 30 amp discharge rate would not hurt, in fact, it would make me sell my pulsar asap.

Ha..Ha....
I knew the Pulsar 2 difference with Pulsar , it can adjust the 3 step current in charge and discharge, as u see the display slow "P3" the "3" is underline that can let u set how many step u want to change. everybody save money lul

Not necessarily... it might mean profile 3 as in it now can save charging/discharge profiles like the eagle/integy chargers.

Though I hope it really means phase charging instead

If its phase/step charging, can run in motor, discharge at up to 30amps and has charging profile, it would be a very very good charger to have in the pits man ...

I was planning on buying one this weekend...hmmm, seems like I might need to wait a little longer

....and I have been waiting 2 months to buy the 1st one just to make sure that I was going to get it lol.

so if the difference between the new model and the older is only the step charging mode I can't see advantages on the pulsar2....

in my opinion the pulsar competition is the best charger cheaper than 200dollars......if the unit offers higher discharge amperage I would say that the charger would be best of ever...
