I said I WOULDN'T RECCOMEND IT FOR USE ON CARPET....
Sounds like you said two different things...

Anyways, back to topic...
Would you guys say the same about the 1/18 sized versions of the Mazda and Alfa? I like the Mazda better, personally.

Yeah, I thought maybe the comment about it sucking period was a lil harsh so I clarified it a bit....Sorry, when I get the choice of racing carpet or asphalt I usually choose carpet....I admit the statement was a lil biased but I think it sucks on the carpet

BTW: I'm going to give the MG a try...If it handles anything like the old Stratus I think I'll like it. The old stratus had some okay downforce but felt stable & good thorugh the turns.

you're in aus, so if you go pickup a copy of the latest racing lines it contains an article in which 10+ bodies are tested and briefly reviewed w/ lap times by mr abbott.

worth a look.

yea but hpi body are pretty thin comparded to the pro-line/ protoform bodies. i had one of my friends put a calipers to each body (not painted) and the pro-line/protoform is if i remember right 3 or 4 thousands thicker(dont quote me just becuse we did this a year ago) and that the hpi bodies due to there thin shell make it easier to crack, but its a personal prefrence and if u like the aero 2 then stick with it, i prefere the TL alfa, proto alfa2.0,and the stratus 2.0 and the mazda 6. i think out of trying them all i found that some work better depending on the track and its conditions and wether ur runing foams or rubber tires.

my .02 cents lazyboy

I think you canīt really say whatīs the best body.
First of all it depends on the car. For me it seems each body doesnīt work the same with each car.
When I bought my first Stratus 2.0 I was using a TC3 that time and I found the Stratus didnīt work for me as I always had a loose rear end with it. Than I bought an EVO3 and tried the same Stratus 2.0 again and it worked awesome. Since then itīs my favourite body for the EVO3.

Beside this, setup and personal preference also will have an influence for the choice of body.

Parma Alfa...the best looking and most realistic on the market...awesome handling too :)

vadn1 05-14-2004 10:23 PM

Drive something you like to look at, and forget all the aerodynamic Crap. Bet some of the top drivers in the world could win with a dump truck body on a TC chassis....

Doug Gaut 05-15-2004 07:03 AM

Matt, you could go to Parma's website and send them an email asking what shops in the UK are importing the body.

raving-monkey 05-15-2004 07:57 AM

good idea doug:lol:
