anyone know where i can get hold of a parma alfa in the UK?
|
At our track, all the guys running the Alfa 2.0 are switching to the Mazda 6. They say it feels better. The Stratus 2.0 is a great body. Very neutral feel. You have to realize that a body will not make up for a poor setup.

I like either the HPI Aero 2 or the Losi Alfa.

if your track isnt strict on body rules.. get the chevron bugatti body :) quick steering and very stable. also VERY illegal since its not a sedan.

BlackKat is a very young kid who likes to spit out info without thinking sometimes. So everyone should excuse him on his uninformative comment.
I love the 2.0 Stratus! |
I have to say that I have run the Mazda, alpha and stratus bodies all with good sucess. On my current sedan ( losi ) I prefer to run a more agressive body such as the Alpha to help the car react a bit faster, but on my last sedan ( tc3 ) I had much better luck with the more stable stratus.
A better way to look at body choices is the think of them as tuning options to help you shift the downforce balance of the car. |
I don't think you could go wrong with either the Alfa 2.0 or Mazda6. But why not try a MG instead? If it's a flowing and semitechnical track it should work great. I've been running one on my 415 and I like it. It just feels... I dunno... like the body isn't there. I guess neutral too me. I'm gonna go back and test out the Mazda6 and MG on the same run to make a comparison. Of course all my comparison's are done with Roar Legal wings trimmed down below roof line. This greatly changes the handling of the Mazda6. Stratus 2.0 is great if you are looking for a looser rear end.

I have the MG on my cuda and really like it. Runs like the older stratuses.

I love the 2.0 Stratus! 1) I'm not "very young" or a "kid"...I'm in high school. That means I passed grades 1-8 sucessfully 2) Don't exuse me on any of my comments. I stand by every one of them 3) Spit out info with out thinking? I have every right to an opinion as you do pal. I have a brain....I'm smart, I use what I'm given 4)...you like the Stratus 2...I don't. Does that mean I'm wrong. You didn't seem to think about how I'd feel when you pushed the reply button.....All I do is state what I know/think and if you disagree with me I'd expect you to state that in a way that doesn't offend me. Back on topic....The bodies I like are the old style Stratus & the Vaxhall Vectra |
MG
Nah dont like the MG i actually just sold it
|
The Parma Alfa is a very balanced body. It is not near as aggressive as the Protoform or Losi Alfa bodies. On concrete or asphalt tracks the Parma is very nice! Never tried it on carpet but heard great things about it on carpet as well.
