Must be a oregon deal then Mike. Along with the long scenic routes to get to dinner

Someone that has a spec r diff should figure out if another cars diff parts fit inside it, make the diff a little more beefy

I like to think of myself as the 29 year old teenager.

!
In oregon everything is scenic. Even the freeways . And the kids say some stupid things.

I just realized that I used far to many smilies. That must be a oregon thing too

The spec R 416 diff will fit the regular cyclone if you follow the instructions I posted about 2 pages ago.

There were a ton of Spec-R gear diffs out last weekend at the http://www.rctech.net/forum/racing-f...champs-23.html The diffs were in cars with motors from 5.5 to 17.5 -- with my 5.5 hitting a top speed of 53mph down the back straight.

I think all of the plastic gear haters are going to start getting quieting down...

Like Hanulec said, the diffs were dialed all weekend. I ran the Tamiya version in my 416x in both 13.5 and mod and I never even had to think about maintenance for the diff.

Well for one a 5.5 doesn't exactly have the rip a 4.5 does lol. And two you guys have been running the diff for what a month or two now? What's it going to look like after half a year or a year? I'm still a plastic gear hater lol I want the diff to last forever, I'm sick of diff rebuilds

i race with hanulec, running a 5.5 with boost should pull more then a 4.5 with a non boosted esc..

as for hating on the plastic gears, i didnt like the fact of them being plastic either but after seeing what mike did to his cars over the last few weeks with mod and some crashes.. ill take the plastic gears since they are holding up just fine..

The TCX is different than the standard car. The narrower bulk heads will require longer drive shafts. If it fits in the current car I'm all over it.
