tamiya likes to use a metric pitch its about a 32 pitch if your gunna re gear just do all 64 pitch try a 100 tooth spur and depending on motor anywhere from a 45 to 30 tooth

The car comes with metric 48 pitch. That is the only gear type you can use because the spur gear is slid onto the shaft.

yeah i ment to say 48 pitch sorry and you can convert if you get 3 racing upgrades. To save the hassle just buying 48 pitch gears is better

using a 23 pinion with the 55t spur. problem is, tamiya says to mount motor in slots "b". When I mount it that way, pinion barely touches spur. to get any contact, I have to use the 58t spur with the 23 pinion, but it whines like crazy!

biggest pinion tamiya made was 28T. 3Racing made bigger pinions in the same pitch... but wont fit in the TB-02 because of the mounting holes.
