I am assuming you are new to all this.... so i would say go with the DUO2. it has a wider sweet spot. as far as batteries go I have gotten the best runs/results using Acorn batteries(5500 36c). you can call Speedworld Raceway 1-916-783-8864 he can set you up with everything you need

I have Run Duo 1 and Nemesis, they each have their merit. Duo 2 based motors are a safe bet and easier to tune

EAMotorsports has motors dynotuned for each series (Duo1/2/Nemesis)that way you know you are not getting a dud.

I gotta put in my vote for a Duo 2 and battery from eXpress. I've met and raced with John Tag and he is a stand up guy that has great products. They've got a thread over in the manufacturers section if you have questions for him.

I would go with a Novak. They have way better customer service than most and they are made right here in the USA and they perform perfect.

As with any motor you are going to have to mess with gearing and timing to find the sweet spot.

BOSS all the way!! Nathan is a great guy! I call him atleast once a week while I am at the track and he is always happy to hear from me and gives A LOT of tips to make the motor even faster and run cooler. I run a 13.5 against mostly mod motors(6.5 to 8.5) on dirt oval and I have no problem keeping up and passing on the straights! AWESOME POWER!!!

I don't remember who said it in the Boss thread but, "There is a replacement for displacement, BOSS RC MOTORS!"
