Default Buggy base on road car?

What does every body think, we all have a buggy and old motors laying around. Could we get more people at the local tracks. This is just a question. Only a body rule and 2s lipo? Harold

What do you mean buggy base on road car?
Do you mean off-road buggies with TC foam tyres like in years '90 in UK and HK?

Yes that is what I mean. I ran oval in the late 80 with one. Just looking to get more people back to the track.

Pardon, are you from US, oval with buggy?
I thought this is started UK or HK something, serious!
Do you know what, I know the actual TC cars are derived from resized onroad buggies with 190mm bodies, in fact i know in HK race with GP cars bodies and wheels.

When I started in ‘88 there was well established buggy oval racing in the US, both on carpet with foams and dirt with a variety of tires including foams. Foam tires were readily available for buggies, I still have a set for a RC10.

Also so called ‘stadium racing’, with wood jumps added to a carpet track. Still common in the cold winter areas of the US.

Anybody remember the Associated RC10DS?

Was basically a short armed RC10 buggy with on-road specific wheels and tires, bumper and bodymounts. I think it came out at a time when easy to drive 4WD touring cars was gaining popularity so the 2WD RC10DS was a slow seller. Associated's attempt at a touring car was basically an afterthought.
