Problem assembling the 12l4
1 Attachment(s)
Maybe you guys can help me with this. I was preparing the chassis on my new 12L4, sanding the edges, CA around them, when this happened. It wasn't in the instructions, so I am not sure if it was supposed to be this way. Maybe someone can help me know where to go next? The picture basically tells the story.

From the other side. Seems it will be hard to get around the carpet this way.

LOL sorry ;)
Try some fingernail polish remover or acetone. The only other thing to do is soak it in hot water for a while till it peals off. Dont ask how I know this. |
Sorry, but I got a laugh out of it.

Dude....
Seriously...If I were you I'd just rip it off.... Use sandpaper/water to get the Ca off your finger |
            take some bandages and Rip it off. Might bleed a bit, but I rather go through that than a whole process.

good luck on trying to take that glue off
|
rofl, you know what made me laugh about this... it's not that the finger got glued to the chassis (we've all been there-done that with chassis' or tires), it's that what is the first thought when this happens?!? "Quick, grab the camera". Too funny. :)

Well, you should be happy to know I got it off. I took my xacto and got the edges apart as best I could without cutting flesh, then just sort of hung my hand to where the chassis was pulling away at an angle. After about 10 minutes gravity did the work and it finally seperated. It hurt, but no bleeding!
Guess now I can get on with building the dang car! |
LOL!!!
I didn't understand till I read other people's posts Always have CA remover handy with ya when playing with CA, they are handy! |
Take a dremel and a cuttof wheel and cut you finger off at the knuckle. You don't want to hurt your car. Next time use a Q-Tip to apply your CA!!!
|
Did you leave bits of flesh glued to the chassis?
You could try boiling your finger off next time. I used to do that with my offroad tires to save the rims. |
At least you didn't glue your entire hand to a table or anything (Erich  )
