Please, if possible with part number.
HPI, Speedmind, and Schumacher all make black wheels.

The Speedmind Aero-Dish, Black, 24mm, 0 degree offset wheels are perfect on my XXX-S. Their part number is GT404B.

Same thing that comes on pre-made TakeOff wheels/tires.

They dont suck...the only problem as I see it is that the inner ribbs are angled and I think it allows the insert to shift alot. Its still a good wheel especially for a loose track. expensive though.

Hello everyone. I am new to this thread(duh). I race my NTC3, so I am familiar with the setups and all. I had an HPI Sprint awhile ago, got tired of its lack of racyness. Sold it and I am looking for another 1/10 on-road electric tc. The only thing I am really trying to keep in mind is the drive-type. I run mainly in front of my house on the street(not very busy). Of course any street will have little pebbles everywhere. Actually one of the reasons why I sold my sprint was because the little rocks kept on getting stuck in my belts and spur gear. So I was looking at the XXX-S because it has the sealed drive belt. I want to ask, is this belt completely sealed from any small debris? If so, then this might be the right car for me. I would probably get the new XXX-S RTR II, at my age I have a low budget. They say that this is a great car, even though it's an RTR. The radio system looks great, and the new ESC can handle up to a 15 turn motor. Plus the motor is rebuildable. Any thoughts or hints to give??? Plus, the lowest price any of you can find on the RTR II would be helpful aswell.

Thanks

rowveg36,
The BK bones are not available as far as I know. I have them on my car but I made them. The bearings are from the Drake truck kit. They are the steering rack bearings. Not sure the losi part number.
They press onto the driveshafts pretty good. I havent had one come off yet. Then use a dremel and dremel out the outdrive slots. A chainsaw shapening bit works great. I thing its a 1/8 or 3/16. Then I used a small file to clean it up. A lot of work but it is worth it. The cool factor is there and its an upgrade that can be felt on the track.

Yep, completely sealed.

You will have plenty of fun with their new RTR; but, also consider buying a used XXX-S Graphite Plus with spares (on eBay?). There will be plenty of good ones for sale once the new JRX-S is introduced.

One of my XXX-S cars will go when I get my new car; but, I will keep one because of the enclosed drivetrain feature.

Well its good that it's sealed, don't want any stones in my gears!

I think I would rather just stick with the RTR II, and add on the graphite stuff as I get more money. Plus, the only thing I dont like about the graphite kit is that there is too much milled out of the chassis. I know it is to keep the wight down and all, but that just leaves your radio gear vulnerable to damage. I'd rather just mill out what I want so that I feel comfortable. But are there any key hop ups I should consider purchasing for the RTR II? Threaded shocks, universal driveshafts, diffs, etc.?

Thanks

Default Hmmmm

If you plan on compeating the Graphite+ version is the only way to go. The xxx-s is overweight to begin with. A half dozen of the key "hop-ups" that you would buy first, are included with the graphite version.
With a new Losi TC coming out, it is a buyers market on XXX-S regular and graphite. If you keep your eyes open you can get some real bargains.
on the other hand if you are like me, it will probably take a while for your driving skill to reach the point where it matters which car you choose. If you feel more comfortable buying the car new it is not like the RTR kit is going to limit you initially.
