Hi Guys,

As you all know, the electric racing season is upon us, and we just recently did a huge update on our electric section:

Matrix P2K2 based Dyno tuned motors
Matrix Ver.II MVP based dyno tuned motors
Reedy Ti based Modified (8x2-12x2)

we also updated our brushes section with new brush compounds, and our batteries section with the new matched Sanyo 3000HV cells. Check them out on our website

Also, our Team Losi XXX-S Hop-ups are moving fast. All parts are available right now!!

Thanks!

We'll let Kraig churp! He squeeked into the main and I made drastic changed to try to get the car faster. I made it too loose. Did he tell you he only turned me around twice???? He knows who was faster!

MK

I'm not far off on setup. I went real stiff and had the car pretty close.

Sounds like you are
I turned you once when I caught you and I got hung up on the sandbag and you got away. I caught right back up to you and I passed you when you put yourself into a wall. Besides, qualifying 7th out of 8 cars is not squeeking into the show.

Losi, I think he was running black in the front and rear but front for sure.

I know this question has been answered somewhere else, but I can't find it...

How loose should the belt be? I am running stock class with a MVP geared at 90/23. My belt seems real loose after the races last weekend...

Any help would be appreciated, it just seems real loose to me.

Thanks

I run mine just loose enough so that it doesn't or hardly skips during breaking. It's pretty loose.

Got a group of xxx-s at our local track. There are 3 of us that are working together to get these things to the front of the pack. Car 1 has had a ton of steering since it was new, 2 and 3 are pushing withthe same set up on them. The only true difference is that the 2 pushers are running front bumper braces . All 3 havce the shortened shock shafts, Alum rear cvds, comparable high end servos, ect. Two of us are frustrated and the third is winning races..lol Any tips on getting more steering out of the cars or things to look for that could be causing the difference....did he just get a hot one from the factory or what???

Jeff,

Where are you racing in Wichita?

I am down there often (from KC) and I didn't think there was a place to race...

Have you tried putting the bearings in the steering?

Has anybody built a front bumper/body mount brace and had it reduce the front roll in the car? I built one for my car the day I got it and my car has always had a push no matter what I do to the setup.Changing droop, ride height, etc. A friend of mine let me drive his and his car is night and day different. Much more responsive and stable. We then changed "everthing" on my car to his setup (even servos)and it still exibited the same characteristic. It will not turn in and/or carve the center of the corner. The only thing we could come up with on the trip home from the track is that he does not have a brace. The local track is 2 hours away so I cannot go and check this idea out but I was wondering if too stiff of a brace will act like a swaybar and reduce front roll somehow and also tweak the car? Sounds crazy but I am grasping at straws! This car will not turn!! Help!!

Seems like the brace is causing the understeer... but how is it possible?

I made one out of carbon-Fiber which would be the stiffest out material out there and I have no problem. Your probably over looking something. And the stiffer the bumper got wouldn't effect the steering charecteristics since it doesn't touch the suspention and since the chassis doesn't flex at all.

We have been racing at Enid,OK and OKC both. Enid has a website. enidrcracing.com
As far as missing something, we have set the droop, rideheight, camber, caster, tires, wheels, insert s and even changed to the same brand of shock oil with no results.
