Yes... how do you shorten the actual shock body? Is it something with the shock cartridge.

Let me start off by saying... I am new to TC, and the Losi XXX-S is my first TC. So my knowledge is very limited.

I ran the kit setup on both asphalt and carpet. It worked great on ashphalt. I thought it worked good on carpet too. But, since my experience is limited, the fast guys told me. That the kit setup on carpet was actually scrubbing speed. I ran the kit set up, with sorex 32's. on asphalt. With a track temp of around 80. The kit setup FOR ME, was dialed. But what the hell do I know..LMAO

Mike
Try taking it to your local machine shop. They can get it done for you.

Who's got the one way and hows it working? We've got slow results the first week at our track. Any setups? Difficult to drive was what I heard but it will be faster with the right set up.

Thanks for the advice. We can only use rubber tire's on our carpet tracks.....sorry I forgot to mention that. The set up should still work right????? I'll try it out and see for myself. Do you know how much droop he is running front and rear?

I am very new to TC racing. I have the Losi XXX-S. But here is a set up from Bob Zhan, the fastest stock guy at my local carpet track. I don't think he will mind. He has posted this on a few other sites. I am going to run this set up.

Front:
70 wt oil, 57 piston, black spring, shock #3 on tower, stock castor blocks and kickup, no toe-in/out, -1.5 deg. camber, 4 mm ride height, high roll center.

Rear:
50 wt oil, 57 piston, blue spring, shock #3 on tower and outside on arm, stock toe-in, 0R rear pivot support, -1 deg camber, 4.5 mm ride height, high roll center.

Tires:
TRC Purple front and rear ( would have preferred Plaid in front but didn't have any yet)
full traction compound on rear, 1/3 front

Misc: batteries in rear, belt at loosest setting, P2k geared 26/90, Volvo S60 body, shortened front shock shafts and shock end.

Oh yeah, this set-up is for a tight ozite carpet track!

snotrocket- I did some testing with the oneway this past weekend and the results were pretty good. The car had more corner speed and snap out of the corners. Once you get use to the oneway it will be very fast.

David, I ran a modified version of Paul L's carpet setup. It didnt work very well. I took MDawsons advice and ran Ron R's parking lot setup at Enid last weekend and it worked GREAT!! Thanks MDawson!! You da man. We are going back this saturday to test tires. I know the bite is much higher at OKC but I think that this setup has alot of potential there as well. Just gotta find the "right tire combo". You otta try to come to Enid saturday, there ought to be at least 6 Wichita racers there. 5)XXX-S's to bounce ideas off of. Glad you bought one again. See ya

What is the wait time to get the new shocks? I am ready to get them!!! Also any ideas on where one could find a one way?

Dave is Comp RC going to stock the oneway?

Saw on Horizon today that there is going to be a complete graphite upgrade kit. Around $109 from them for all the graphite parts. May be my x-mas present!

SirS.

It is shaping up. Makes our job easier! Will look to add more stuff soon. Once there is enough info there - the graphics package will kick in.
