Chris...I am not sure what the pound rating of the congo blue&purple springs are,I think they are somewhere around 25 &30#'s, but Losi white &black springs feel about the same on the car.As far as I know Trinity still offers congo purple springs, but I dont think they still make the blue springs.

The roll center blocks I spoke of(Losi low)are the ones that come with the G-Plus kit.

Brian -

Thanks again for the info - and yes, the Trinity Blues are quite tough to get ahold of - which is why I went with the Losi flavors.

Regards,

Chris....there are 3 or 4 places to race in the summer time in the area. Aj's Raceway in DeKalb IL. is a first class track but its about 2 hours from where you would be..... www.Ajsraceway.com is his website. Venture Hobby in Libertyville IL has a parking lot track thats about a hour drive.... www.Ventureraceways.com Then in Wisconsin there are two tracks one in Green Bay about a hour and a half north not sure on the website. And there is a club out of Madison which is about an hour or less west of there that has a parking lot program....this track is run by the same guy that brings us this awsome website. And there is another track in Madison aswell not sure about the name. Check out out the Wisconsin and Illinois fourm for more info..... http://www.rctech.net/forum/forumdis...?s=&forumid=11

And Trackside does offer both Foam and Rubber classes most of the guys will run foams b/c thats what all the big indoor races are on....but you can still race rubbers if you want. There is rumors that this year the Novak Touring Car Champs held at Trackside will be on Foams.

Kevin -

Thank you as well for all of the information! As for the rubber tires, I am happy running on either foam or rubber...

Chris - Glad to hear you'll be up at Trackside. Have you ever raced with Scotty? If not, you won't be disapointed.

I'll probably start racing on tuesdays at Trackside again later this summer. I haven't been up there in a while, and I can feel withdrawls coming on.

TSR6 - Actually I used to race there back in the day at the track on Bradley... 12+ years ago. Since that time I have had the opportunity to race at Trackside twice while visiting the family in Cedarburg... gotta have some escape time, right? Scotty is definately one of the class acts in RC... Granted I am going to miss Scott Anfinson out here too - he certainly makes the racing entertaining!!

With Todd Hodge's carpet setup, on carpet it rocked. I tried a setup with it for outdoor though, and couldn't get the car to turn well, so for outdoor I went back to the diff. Now I'm all sorts of hooked up again.

I race at ripon(CA) and its an outdoor track. I dont run a one-way yet but, a bunch of my buddies do and they dont seem to have any problem on the asphault. I'm not sure about thier set-ups but they are doing well.

most of us run the XXX's with a front 1way, may it be indoor carpet or outdoor asphalt, a one way is simply unbeatable for corner speed and on and off power steering.

personally, i didn't find the transition from diffs to a 1 way.

I just setup a database to keep track of my setups. The input form is the Losi XXX-S G+ setup sheet in PDF.

Can also retrieve setups from the db and print the setup sheet.

If you could please help me test this at http://www.losiboard.com

XXX-S sheet is on the OnRoad page.

Tuff - say hi to Scotty and Thielke for me and if you see Richard Lake smack him. It's been about 6 years since I ran at SRS.
