Quick question has anyone tried lightening their chassis by grinding the chassis out, mainly the belt cover part. Just curious if anyone has and how much they reduced the weight.

I heard that kindwald was using a fan on this motor and esc the OctoberFest (or was it Fast???) race. Does anyone know if this was true? If so where did he mount the fan for the motor? Off the endbell like shown in a Orion ad or in front of the motor on the chassis? I was just wondering.

Jared, yes he had 2 fans in his car at Oktoberfast. One on the speedo and one on the motor. I don't recall exactly where the one by the motor was. They were like little pc fans.

jk - he cut a square open ontop of his gt7 right where the 37 is on the label then had a fan ontop there, and he also had one where you normally mount transponders and he ran a personal transponder.

Hi all,
On a few of the Losi setups from the Octoberfast race, drivers were using 'full AE hex adaptors'.
Does anybody know the reason for this, and what it achieves?
thanks

The asc hexes are wider than the losi ones so it gives it more offset. Every time I run foams asc hexes go on my car.

Thanks for the reply.
Is that with 24 or 26mm foams??

I am racing on an asphalt track outdoors with poor traction and I am having some difficulties with the REAR being a bit loose (i.e. Oversteer off power) I think ...
The following is my setup for the LOSI :
Front:
Kick Up - 4 Deg
Caster - 0 Deg
Camber - 1 Deg
Camber Links - Long
Shocks - Red (Soft)
Shocks - Leaned
Rear:
Anti Squat - 0 Deg
Caster - 0 Deg
Camber - 1 Deg
Camber Links - Short
Shocks - Red (soft)
Shocks - Leaned
What can I do to improve rear traction on off power, i.e. while entering a corner without loosing steering?

Give the rear more droop. When you enter the corner you maybe transfering too much weight and lifting the rear tires or not and more droop in the rear would help anyway.
And why are we crazy for swiss cheezing our chassis's
