My guess before the race was that Marc (along with the other Tamiya drivers) would have come with all cars (415 with old suspension, 415 with new suspension and Evo4) and will use whatever car is the fastest on the practice runs.

We all know that he prefers the 415 with the old suspension, but this track is very different to any german track, so the Evo4 might do it better for him there.

You haven't lived if you haven't driven 1/10th onroad (PRO10) direct drive, with cells and modified motors, on a 1/8scale gas track. Those cars are 1.5 to 2seconds a lap faster than any touring car.

YES, they were brilliant.

I still have my Associated and my son still has his Corally. Just nowhere to race them since the class died some years ago.

Default 415 or EVO4

What car is Marc Rheinard running?? has anyone actually seen it, i personally think he is still with the 415, he really liked the car and to be on for a time that was ALOT quicker than Surikan but to then dump makes me think hes with a car hes been driving along time, dont think he would change at the last minute, but i stand to be corrected and if anyone has any pictures or what hes using i would be much appreciated, lets stop speculation and wait for evidence!!

Rob

Goodluck to all the UK boys out in florida.

They still are brilliant here. We race about 10 larger races a year. I think the only class that comes close to the driving experience of a pro 10 is 1/12th. I have run touring, and still run it every once in a while, but it doesn't even come close.
An indication: fastest lap in the touring modified class at the German track at Walsum, by Mark Fischer: somewhere around 16.5. Fastest pro 10 lap: 14.9.
And the pro 10 is cheaper to run! It eats less tires, it's easier on the motors, and you hardly ever break any part.

If you like the class: just bring out those cars. The pro ten class was dead around here, two years ago. Me and a few friends started running pro ten's just for fun, and now we have at least one full heat every race! I sold my touring car, and I will probably never buy one again.

nah, i think the problem with JRXS is it's too new without enough track time the set ups will be hard to perfect

I think you will see the Losi drivers getting better with every round. They had to start without default setups and will evolve quickly.

Come on guys, this was just practice and really doesn't mean anything. This is typical in any form of car racing. All the cars will get better.

I think as the event moves on, you will see a much different story than what the practice rounds show!

Looks like Peak/Orion have the early lead in terms of the most drivers running the best times. The revelution based mods seem to run real well on the big tracks in sedan.

Good to see Tosolini running well. Would be cool to see him in the top 10.

From looking at the times the losi car is not that far off the top 10 pace. I do not think the xxxs prototype did real well at the worlds when it made its debut....and that car turned out to work pretty well. When was the last terrible race rc that Losi has put out?

Hi guys
Marc Rheinard is using the 415. Steen Graversen and Surikarn are using the Evo IV

I talked to Race Director Scotty last night, and he said Masami had the fastest time in timed practice, with Billy Easton 2nd.

He said he is beat and was going straight to bed. He said it was crazy running the races with double B mains and triple A mains. Anybody ever hear of double B mains ?
