If you must know masami had the speed 8 all thru the event. I would be one to know as I teched is car every round. That also included having his motor torn down three times and his batteries.

Yes, Parma just corrected the information. They never make a Spirit 12. Masami used a Parma Speed 8.

It's kinda of hard to tell in the pictures, but was Masami and Blackstock using screw on left side hubs on the axles instead of clamping hubs?

Thanks
John

Where's the love on this thread, anyway? haha

In other race coverage news, we are just putting the finishing touches on our titling software for the upcoming R/C Tech DVDs. When you watch a race on the disc, it overlays position information and changes just like a full-scale race on TV. This will be the first race where we use it in post-production, and it should be pretty slick.

If any of you are at the Worlds and see any of my three R/C Tech cameramen wandering around, be sure to stop and say hi. Who knows, you might make the final cut. They shouldn't be too hard to spot with the big Canon XL1S and XL2 cameras!

Remember, play nice on here. Qualifying is coming up shortly and there should be better things to talk about than who is or isn't giving live updates... my guys are flying out in about 8 hours and should be at the track by Wednesday afternoon.
Can somebody post a pic because i can't find it at orion's website

Yeah-and I just remembered-the Speed 8 and PF Speed12 almost got excluded from the Worlds and thus an American manufacturer almost missed out on winning a world title on homeland!!! I'm glad ROAR got the bodies approved last minute for my friends at Parma.

Well with Masami driving it I would look for it to do really well (555). From the pics on the Yok thread it is a nice looking car. Got a Tamiya Evo look to it with the Alum Bulkheads. I liked my SSG and bet this would be an improvement over it....running a Pro 4 now and really like it.

I to am interested in all the sedan gossip from the worlds.

Great pics and coverage so far!

Jeff

It looks like Masami was running a TI based motor from the pic. Does anyone know what motor Blackstock was running... PT or TI based motor?
