This coverage sure beats the 2-3 month lag time we used to have for the print version of the race. I think everyone is trying to do the best that they can and I appreciate them doing this. Thank you!

Kraig, 2-3 months? XRC's Worlds coverage will be in subscribers' hands by Thanksgiving.

Anyway, glad that at least some people appreciate the work that a few people are doing to give updates on the net.

1/12th scale turned out to be the usual suspects at the top; I think there's a much higher probability for a surprise in TC. For those who were looking for a rough schedule:

Wednesday: Practice
Thursday: Qualifying
Friday: Qualifying
Saturday: Mains

What's the early word on the sedan races? Who's looking fast?

I actually was referring to the old days, today's print is definately a lot faster but not as fast as the internet versions.

Default Thanks!!!

Thanks to all the people who have taken what little free time they have and provided the results and pictures for all of us to enjoy. Jarod your pictures are excellent as always!!!

coolrcdad: A lot of teams have been very busy testing and practing over at Speedline this week. There wasn't anyone that was slow. I watched a lot of different drivers/teams all weekend and this race is going to be FAST.

At the end of the day are Losi, yokomo, trinity, peak, xray, tamiya, corally, associated or anyone else trying to provide worlds results up to date? Er NO so stop dissing them. Rick

Hey Shane,
Looks like you won't have any problem for the Reedy ROC for internet access, how many wireless networks did ya find near the Tamiya Track?

Well, congrats to all that made it to the Worlds and to all the winners

What a load of balls, 1/12 was held on carpet in the UK and will be held on carpet in coming years, along with the 1.10 sedan class. They will all still turn out for it, just as europeans have turned out to race 1/2 on the wrong surface this year and in other years. The worlds are the worlds. People and manutactures will still turn out for them no mattwer what.

1/10 is dieing, Oscar of Orion has even admitted so, 1/10 sedan will soon cost to much to race so it will begin all again, 1/12, pro 10 and 1/8th been the popular classes, followed by 1/10 off road then 1/10 electric on road. You only have to look at 1/8th off road nitro to see this, how many manufactures have RTR 1/8th scale buggeys available now! Its a never ending cycle. Rick

World's on carpet, I think your top ten in no order could look a whole lot like this:

Blackstock, Lufaso, Cyrul, Orr, Spashett, Baker (Props to the West on that one), Doseck, Masami, Hara, McMahon.
Did a certain UK driver in this list not dominate the Worlds in the UK in all 3 classes? A certain Spashett showed the world what he could do and will do again when its on carpet?

Top five would be;

Spashett by a half lap,
Masami, as he is one of the best,
Hara, raw skill,
Baker, normally the brides maid never the bride,
Cyrul, totally awsome on carpet but lacks the edge of spashett and masami IMHO

Maybe we should get rid of the BQ helmet and make it a BQ dress just for Barry.

Rick, you left out Mike Blackstock. Carpet is his surface. He will challenge David on your list. And don't sell Masami short on any surface.

Just looked at the pictures of the Mains looks like Masami was running a Parma speed 8.

It looks more like a Trinity Speed 9 due to the lower cockpit. It dosen't really matter though the man could have won with a P-35 body.

For those of you that have a clue of what "bandwidth" is, the site where the gallery is went from having about 3 gigs of bandwidth used before the worlds to 27 gigs used since Saturday......

That's ALOT!! Thank god we have basically unlimited bandwidth
