Adrian-Sorry but I didn't think "official" reports from the NOAA would do anything but show exactly what is going on....my apologies.

Red Squirrel - No prob...Its just that non-locals get really freaked about this kind of stuff. Team Losi decided that they shouldn't come to the FSEARA race due to threats of rain and even though it did rain Losi missed out on A LOT of good testing time that AE, Schu and Yok took full advantage of.

Also, its really hard for a lot of people to make it to a race like the Worlds and we don't need any help with convincing people not to come...lol!

Blue Leader Out...

True.
Just need to know if the finals by any reasons can be moved to Sunday, as I have to book the flight. Anyone?

Same here...I used to live right on the Gulf, and I never had to experience anything like this. It must be depressing to have to check the hurricane forcast for every race day. I hope everything goes well.

I received the below email from the president of IFMAR :

QUOTE

Dear Mr Doucakis

Further to my email of July 17, it is advised that, as per the timetable for the above events, no Spare Day is scheduled and no proposal has been received from any of the Blocs to include a Spare Day. So, the timetable remains as per the Stage I Report.

The dates for the events were chosen with the weather in mind as October is cooler and usually rain free. If difficulties occur weatherwise during the events, the representatives of all Blocs will consider the situation.

It would be assumed that drivers will be staying on at least for one extra day to visit the numerous tourist attractions so, if absolutely necessary, they could attend the venue on October 31.

Please note that the official hotel, Best Western Maingate East, can be contacted on fax no. ..1 407 994 2064 or 1 407 870 2010 Email [email protected] Room rates are $US49 + 12% tax. Please distribute this information to any other intending drivers you may know. Thank you.

Best regards
John Grant
President, IFMAR.

So based on that I booked my flights for Sunday. With the weather down in Florida being so unstable what should we do in the end. Also there will be the elections at the period of time and flying might not be easy carrying all the tools...

They say bad things come in three's. But maybe we can sneak racing in on Sunday before it gets here.

5-day forecast

Here we go again!

Default Hurricane 'Season'

It is important for people outside of the US to realize that the race is scheduled for after 'hurricane season' in Florida.

Although this has been a trying year, the drop in ocean temperature between now and then changes the climate considerably

Does anyone have a copy of the stage 2 report?

I know the weather has been bad, but per ifmar rules it was supposed to be out 2 months prior to the race.

If anyone has a copy, please email me at [email protected] stillaguamish.com (remove the space!)

Hope everyone is doing well down there.......

Default Stage 2 Report

Even if the whole Stage 2 report isn't completed yet, does anyone at least have a list of the approved bodies (including 1/12th)?

thanks
