The original blue TA05 VDF is discontinued for a while so it's impossible to find a brand new one.

I have a used one if you're interested but I am not sure how much are you looking for.

speedtechrc and ultimate hobbies carry the gold and under $400!!! I'll look around for you but finding a blue nib is like hitting the lottery so good luck!

Right, I hope Tamiya could come out with Black Special for the TA05 VDF, just like the F104PRO Black Special.

To match the gold color, you might want to look at either Team Icon motor or Trinity/Epic Duo 2 10.5T Gold.

As far as drifting goes, I heard you want a 10.5T non-boost for best drift action and control.

Default yokomo

The yokomo looks really nice. The problem for me is that there is no readily available parts.

Driftspeed is the US supplier of Yokomo. The carry all the parts for the DRB and all the other cars. If they don't have it call them and they will get it.

My personal favorite is the Street Jam R31. That's what I use. 50% steering throw and 10 degree castor. Awesome drifter.

Back to the VDF.
