Red face about batery and esc

im using the HPI EN-1 now and using a 7.2V 4500 6-cell nimh
my friend said that it will harm my ESC because of the unstable current

my question is will it fry or harm my ESC in any way???

IF you using a 23t or higher turn brushed motor then No not at all. It wont do anything to harm it.

i do use a silver can
but everytime i brake the esc feels rather hot

sry for the silly question
i just got into this hobby a month ago
