What have you found to be the most reliable TC? What survives horrible crashes?

Serious questions, as I am racing some newbies who keep tearing their a-arms apart. My racing yesterday, I only wore down to belts on my tires and had a charger break down. My car MR4TC SSG went awesome.

If there is some super trouble free bullet proof TC that is not in the poll that you think needs to be mentioned, please post it.

I dont have enough experience with most of those cars to cast a meaning full vote. But what the heck, I've heard the cuda is pretty tough

S15 you are right about the cuda but the price is un believable mostly all tamiya touring cars r nice Xrays are very durable out of the box too

The Corally Assassin isn't durable. However the original C4 and C4.1's were VERY durable. Once "xray" pins are added to the rear end($10) "ae" turnbuckles are added to the steering($10) and you beef up the steering knuckles with 24 hour epoxy($5) it just won't break. If you spend time tuning them they can be just as fast as any other car out on the track. However you can't just drop the car on the track and expect it to be dail straight away like some of the US cars.

I've also heard very good things about the Schumacher cars and have yet to see one of their ele cars break.

In the past 2 yrs of running sedans I have only had a XXXS and now my XXXSG+. I have been racing RC for 14yrs carpet and off road but these 2 cars were my first entry into 4wd sedans. I can drive but it took several months to get these things to handle like I wanted. With that said, I broke my XXXS almost every time I hit the track with it. Hubs-carriers and arms. After I got my G+ I have only broken the front bumper once and 1 left side 2 deg. carrier. I know I am a better driver now but there have been serveal times when in a crash I couldn't believe the G+ didn't break. Hope this helps.

Also a lot of guys here in the Mid-South run X-Ray's and they too seem to be very durable. My only beef really with the TC# is the fact it never holds its tweak. It will change after every run or even when you change motors. Only guys here with the TC3 chassis conversions like a double deck set up can hold their tweak.

I have found the xray to be the most durable car. My local track seems to be tough on most of the cars, but most of the xrays keep going. My tc3 would break almost every run, but with the xray, i have only broken 1 part.

POOKYT is right. X-Ray = tough.... but is a little easy to tweak with on track indicents.

I think any double desk chassis is prone to tweaking, unless you really step up and get a thick 3mm lower and upper deck. But(!!) even this doesn't completly stop the tweak, it only makes it harder to tweak, meaning you have to hit a lot harder to mess it up.

IMO anyways....

Its funny to say, but my Tamiya TA-04R PRO SS has never broken once in the 4 years I have had it. I have stripped spur gears and other stupid things, but the only problem I've had with the car was the original upper one-way pulley. This car is built like a tank, and still wins races. Biggest complaint: Keeping up with the hop-ups

I liked my XXX-S GP, I really like my Evo 3 SL and my Pro 4, but each of those cars have their own quirks too. Drivetrain with the 2 SD cars, and hubs/arms on the XXX-S.

xray is the toughest hands down
ive hit preetty hard and not broken or had tweak so u cant change my mind ive seen a tc3 brake from brushing up against a foot wwweeeaaakkk

It all really depends on your driving unless someone drives every car, hits things at the same spot at the same speed. IMO.

Yesterday two of our racers broke 4 front right A arms between them. I know how bad that sucks.

I used to run a Street Weapon IWC that I had upgraded the bulkhead with an aluminum piece. Once I upgraded that one part, I don't think that I hardly finished a race after that because I was breaking graphite arms every time out. I went from a consistent top three car to a consistent DNF. Fortunately I had bought a collection of 34 graphite front arms on E-bay. Still it was UNLESS.

It is a lot more fun racing than it is in the pit replacing parts after a DNF!
