Default German Indoor Champs Electric Touring 2004

Some informations from the German Indoor Champs Electric Touring 2004 held at Ingolstadt.

It´s a carpet track built specially for this race and it´s rubber racing. Tires are limited to Sorex 28 for modified and stock class.

Handout motors for stock is the new Team Orion 27T DMC motor. It´s a special motor according to the new rules here and it´s very different to ROAR legal motors. Differences are ball bearings, full armature (not slotted or split), standup brushes, twisted commutator. Power and efficiency are much more than the usual 27t it´s maybe similar to a 19t.
Motors for Modified are the usual 12T Euro limit.

Today after two rounds of practice the qualifying is on the way.
After the first round it´s more like a Tamiya championship.

Winner of the LRP Touring Masters 2004 Marc Rheinard is leading the field with his Team Orion powered TRF 415 in the modified class. No informations yet for the stock class.

First 10 positions modified are like this

Marc Rheinard Tamiya
Marc Fischer Tamiya
Alex Stocker Tamiya
Ronald Völker Tamiya
Dirk Wischnewski Tamiya
Moritz Habermann Tamiya
Markus Fost Team Losi
Bernhard Bopp Tamiya
Dominik Fleischmann Tamiya
Steffen Leinburger Tamiya

So it´s only former German Champion Markus Fost with his Losi XXX-S G+ between all those Tamiya cars. Ronald Völker is using an EVO3 Surikarn all other are TRF 415 from what I know.

More informations to follow. There is no official website for results so it´s a little difficult for getting informations.
Maybe I will be there tomorrow but it´s not sure currently.

I think Markus Lübke isn´t racing touring car currently. From what I know he´s doing Offroad only.

Regarding Ralf Helbing I´m not sure. I have heard he isn´t racing there. Maybe he is there for supporting the GM-Racing team. But I will know later about this.

Just got new informations.

After 2 rounds it´s like this:

Marc Rheinard
Marc Fischer
Alexander Stocker
Ronald Völker
Dirk Wischnewski
Moritz Habermann
Bernhard Bopp
Dominik Fleischmann
Markus Fost
Sascha Falter

Marc Fischer did win the second round with Alex Stocker second and Marc Rheinard third place. So after two rounds it´s a difference of 0.2 seconds between the two Marcs.
Very close racing.

Sascha Falter runs a TC-3 and Markus runs a Losi XXX-S G+ as mentioned before. So place 1 to 8 Tamiya cars only. No Xray or Schumacher in the A-Final currently. Also no Pro4.
This is for today. 2 additional qualifying rounds and finals tomorrow

I do have results for stock also but maybe nobody outside Germany knows these guys.
But if anybody wants to know I could post these results also.
Regarding cars it´s different to modified. I don´t know all of these guys but it seems Xray on pole currently and some other Xrays in the A-Final. Also one Tamiya at least and one driver TC3.

And not to forget one lady driver on 12th position in stock.

Hi friends. Greetings from Malta.

Having followed the RC on road International scene for some years I have noticed that particularly in Germany, whatever car starts winning everybody wants.

Last year everybody was using X Rays, this year it's Tamiya.

Just proves how important racing is to the manufacturers.

Having said this I have no doubt that the 415 is a very good car.

Keep up the good work.

Regards

Joe from sunny Malta.

Hi Mark good to hear from you again.
How you´r doing?

After 2 rounds stock class is like this:

Dennis Kalinowski
Robert Speck
Michael Kess
Clark Wohlert
Benny Lehmann
Thomas Günsel
Prockmann
Phillip Kraft
Frank Esser
Daniel Horn.

I have to correct one thing. Michael Kess is the guy I thought he´s running a TC-3 but as Mark said he´s running a TRF415 now.
Last year he switched from TC-3 to EVO3 and back again at races but last time I saw him he was running the TC-3 again.
So as to my knowledge there are at least 3 Xrays, 2 TRF415 and one TC-3 on a provisional A-Final position.

Thanks, pretty good...and yourself?

I'm trying to split my time between my 710 and my Surikarn My Regler died on Friday so I'm going to have to get a new one before I can drive the Surikarn again.

Not bad!!! Until a couple of weeks ago, Michael was running his TC-3, then he bought the 415 - he said that the championship race would prove to him if the money had been well spent!

Are you taking any pictures?

Cheers, Mark.

Johnbull

I don´t think everybody was using a Xray last year here. Yes in some areas there were lot of Xrays but not in general.
I think last year EVO3 and TC-3 were the most cars. Then lot of drivers switched for the Yokomo but most weren´t that happy and switched again when this year the Pro4 was released.
Now Pro4 and TRF415 can be seen very often. Still EVO3 and the new Yokomo CGM or K5 as these seem to work better for some guys as the SD.

I concur with V12's statement most of the guys at my club have TC-3s or K5s, and a couple of us have EVO III Surikarns. There is only one guy with an Xray.

Cheer Mark.

update

I got a false information. Not two but three qualifying rounds have been run today.

Finally current outdoor champion Benni Gröschel had a very fast run and despite a fault he shot into 5th position overall. Benni was driving some years for Team Losi and switched to HPI now.
He´s a multiple Champion Offroad and Touring car.

So after three rounds it´s

Marc Rheinard
Marc Fischer
Alex Stocker
Ronald Völker
Benni Gröschel
Bernhard Bopp
Dominik Fleischmann
Dirk Wischnewski
Markus Fost
Moritz Habermann

Regarding cars there were changes again being 8 Tamiyas, one HPI Pro4 and one Losi XXX-S G+ on a provisional A-Final position.

All of the Tamiyas are powered by Team Orion.
Benni Gröschel´s Pro4 is powered by LRP.
Markus Fosts Losi XXX-S G+ is powered by GM-Racing.

No information on stock yet. I hope some guys I know very well are doing better in this round. They are using Schumacher Mi2´s and usually are very fast. Don´t know if they have any problems.
But I will post results as soon as possible.

Tomorrow will be 2 additional rounds so 5 rounds overall with the two fastest counting.
As it seems right now I´m going there tomorrow. I think I can´t do any update during the day but on the evening. Maybe there will be an update any time before I´m leaving. But this is only when I get the results from stock class.

update

results after 5 rounds of qualifying, 2 rounds to count

Modified class:

Marc Rheinard Tamiya 415
Dirk Wischenwski Tamiya 415
Ronald Völker Tamiya Evo 3
Marc Fischer Tamiya 415
Alex Stocker Tamiya 415
Benni Gröschel HPI Pro4
Moritz Habermann Tamiya 415
Steffen Leinburger Tamiya 415
Markus Fost Losi XXX-S G+
Sascha Falter Asso TC-3

racing was very close during qualifying so some interesting finals could be seen afterwards.

Marc Rheinard did win all three A-finals easily. He did it in same way as he did already at the LRP TC-Masters 4 weeks ago. A very clean and fast start and then pulling away with a speed nobody could follow him. Marc Rheinard used his Team Orion powered TRF 415 to win his second Indoor National Championship in a row. As ESC he is using a Hara Twister since the LRP Masters in April.

Second place goes to Marc Fischer also using a TRF 415 and Team Orion power.

Third place overall goes to current outdoor champion Benni Gröschel and his LRP powered HPI Pro4.

Final result after 3 A-Finals, 2 finals to count:

Marc Rheinard
Marc Fischer
Benni Gröschel
Dirk Wischnewski
Markus Fost
Moritz Habermann
Alex Stocker
Sascha Falter
Ronald Völker
Steffen Leinburger

regarding stock class I don´t have much informations currently as I had to leave early.
but it looks like this after qualifying

1. Robert Speck
2. Dennis Kalinowski
3. Clark Wohlert
4. Michael Kess
5. Bergmann

after 3 finals indoor champion stock class is Dennis Kalinowski. Second place goes to Robert Speck.

regarding cars it was a little different as there were three Corally Assasin, three Xray, three TRF 415 and one TC-3 used for the A-Finals.

Anyone interested in pictures please visit the German forum following this link page 2 http://www.rcweb.de/board/viewtopic....r=asc&start=20

picture 5 shows Marc Rheinards winning TRF 415
