Our club here in San Diego (socal-RC) is using these now. I just put my order in for one and should get it next week. They are super fast. The spec class guys were doing nearly as fast as the open class guys. We even had a couple run the system in the 17.5 open race against the guys with boost. They all kept up just fine. At $70 for a complete system I'd love to see everyone get one. Heck I got a TC4 for nothing just to get this system so I can race onroad.

You can have Dan for Socal-RC order them for you. It will take about a week.

Thankyou for sharing that. I think with this new system, other ESC manufacturers will start lowering their prices as well so racing will be more affordable for all. I am loving my system as well. I will race with you SD guys soon!

I haven't seen anybody at our track get the motor over 110*, and we race in 110* ambient temperatures. I doubt the fan is truly necessary.

i ordered one of these the other day, it seemed like a great ESC/motor combo for my first 1/10th tourer.
im a fair noob at the moment so i have a few questions.
i didnt order the programming card, but do they work good without it?
is the lipo voltage cutoff on by default?
if i do really need the programming card, where can i find one? i havent had much luck googling as of yet.
also does it come with a fan or no?

thanks

Welcome to the hobby!
THe program card is not needed. It is only used for fine tuning your drag brake and over brake strength. Default settings is zero drag brake, 60% brake strength, and lipo cut off. Otherwise, go race!!!

I just can't seem to find a good final drive for the 17.5 stock. Running on short outdoor track. Running a yokomo bd5w with 96 spur. Any suggestion on good starting point? thanks all

For tracks like Socal-RC and Hobbytown San Marcos, you should start with 3.5-3.7 and go up or down from there.

we ran the speedo outside for ETS the first big test for the speedo and the track is huge , we used a 13.5 sp motor and we were running gearing of 3.5 and this was giving us a straight line speed of 65 kph

I think on a smaller track i would start at 4.0
