Don't get me wrong, I like the motors. I run them. I tend to like a smoother feel on the bottom end when running mod. I've tried a couple of combinations for gearing and timing. I tried timing down to 16-18º to get more bottom end and gear up to keep the top end and that seemed to just slow it down and get hot. I'm timing them @ 24º and gearing down a tooth or two from where I'd run most motors and that so far seems to be the best results I've seen. One nice thing though with the added runtime you're able to get frim them, I can run my higher voltage packs that have a little lower runtime with them in mod. Those pacs are ususally just for 19 turn.

I was just reading on Orions Top talk that Joe Pillars was asked about the "new" stock that was pictured in RC Car Action- He replyed that there was no new stock or revised stock about to hit the market. He said that was a pick of the Core from 2 years ago...interesting...lol

yeah it was from the nurenburg show, they are definatly making a dynasty 19t with the vantage end bell, i was told it wont be out til late summer because they are struggling to keep up production of the vantage/V2 because they are so popular, i will be buying one for sure when they come out as they look well kool with the green alloy endbell,

if the element is the same as the dynasty then i guess they will bring it out but im not to sure if they are the same.

I have used non-Orion arms in my V2 can&endbell with no problems..

imo the V2 seires motor is PRIMO... good stuff.. can't wait to see if they produce a 19t version...

im not to sure to be honest with you, i think they are its the way the brush's are angled that makes the difference, but i may be wrong and stand to be corrected!! i know the surikan editions have different coms, they kinda twist round the com, i guess this stops arcing and always keeps the brush's in contact with com, but again i stand to be corrected!!!

a stocker that does not have to be rebuilt all the time would so good. i run my 12 double vantage for about 3 meetings in my XXX 2wd buggy and it was hardly toched on the com but the brush's were starting to wear, so a 27t or 19t would be great.

A month of stock racing out of a pair of brushes? Hell yer! If they make it I'd buy one.

Oscar said in an Australian RC mag "racing lines" that a new stock would be coming this year (Australian stock is 27 turn)

He said the end bell would be similar to the revolution, but different.

I guess they would make the brushes bigger?

the reason i asked is because you could make your own V2 stock/spec

if you already have a V2 modified...or can get hold of an endbell just put the V2 endbell on your stock/spec motor.

I think they will come out with a 19T motor first which is fine by me. It won't be officially legal for ROAR races but I don't think the Reedy Quad Mag or Epic 19T is either.

More runs out of a motor would be excellent.

spec motors already have a bearing.

and the BRCA (not sure about the american thingy) but the BRCA is thinking about making it so stock motors have bearings in them.

team orion/peak have already got a spec motor designed...it is just going into production i think.
