xray T3 is probably the toughest and easiest to work on. Furthermore, it has the biggest "sweet spot" as far as getting it to handle. Out of the box it is on the money really.

Vios8820,

If I am not wrong you are in East Malaysia. There are several other factors that you need to consider;

1) Local parts availability. Unless you are prepared to stock them yourself and you have already identified reliable source
2) Do look around at your local track if the models that you have in mind are also used by other racers. This will help you later in terms of setup and buddy support. Imagine this, if you are the only one who has a particular model, you are pretty much on your own to figure out setup issues, reliability issues etc etc. Unless you are fairly experienced in setting up and maintaining a touring car.
3) You sound like you want to have a feel of what touring car racing is therefore you really have to consider the 2 points above.

Personally, I have briefly worked on a TM E4 before, if thats what you are planning to get. It is a good kit. However the weakest point of the car are the bulk head caps. The part where the upper links attach to. They are made of plastic and does not like any abuse at all.

Never worked on a cyclone before so cant comment but from my observation they are quite dated. However I may be wrong.

In any case I seldom see both these kits on our local tracks.

If you're thinking of going with Team magic's kit, then go with that. But if I were you, I would go and see what most people at your track are racing. You'll get way better information that way than here.

Go EP. At the moment a lot of GP drivers here in WA (that is Western Australia) switched to EP and they discovered how much they love it. It's a lot cheaper than GP and has all the thrills and spills you have in GP. And the speed too. Besides, it is a momentuous time in EP. Adding timing on the fly and BL motors has completely changed the face of the hobby.

Looking to get 1. Photon vs 416X, which makes a better choice?
