Default Speed Control Comparison Matrix

I have spent some time pulling together a list of most of the speed controls that a lot of racers are using these days and the features of each of them. I find it to be a valuable comparison. I pulled most of the versions and capabilities from the current approved ROAR list, so that is the reason for the version numbers. I hope you guys find this somewhat useful.

The 1S Voltage Support column denotes whether or not the speed control has an internal booster for 1S racing. I know that most of the speed controls have some type of internal booster, but some are not strong enough to run without a receiver pack or external booster.

Anyway I hope people find this information useful!

Thanks Art.

Might be helpful to include weight and efficiency numbers if the manufacturer provides the data

Very nice Art. How 'bout a weight column?

Is weight really that relevant? I will consider this for V2 of the spreadsheet...

Thanks for the suggestion!

few thoughts in addition to weight.
- release date
- if fan is attached for cooling
- if a speedo is really the same as another model -- but just branded under another name -- like the hobbywing/speedpassion/orion stuff.

What about these stats:
Price , resistance , drive(sensored/sensorless), motor limit(boosted/unboosted), performance on the track, smoothness/driveability , fet spec amp limit , cooling or no cooling, runs brushed motors or not, and bec rating.....

Might want to include a column about "actual footprint", that includes the measurements with the solder tabs. Some manufacturers only measure the case in an attempt to make their ESC seem smaller in advertisement material than they really are.

Example: Tekin advertises a width of 25mm, but with the solder tabs, it's actually 31mm.

On your list you noted the black diamond as having 1s support. Maybe you guys can correct me but it just has the built in voltage reducer not an actual booster? I have to use a booster or receiver pack with mine.
