Either I want it to blow up so it gets repaired by LRP or I want to know whether it really is waterproof.

Hi,
I am both using a Gm v12 gx, and a QC 2.
When the track is realy twisty I use my QC2, but when it comes to old fashion speed nothing can beats the GM
I have tested the QC2 to see if it is really waterproof, and it was.
Maybe there has been a bad batch of ESC by LRP.
If so e-mail the company, and ask them how it can be your QC2 is not fully waterproof.

There is indeed a bad batch of QC'2, they are producing a new revision now which should be waterproof. (but hey, they claimed that before).
I asked them and I got no reply....

Oh thats strange.
I live in the Netherlands, and I'm working in a hobbyshop that is specialissed in RC cars.
The experience I have with LRP are all very good.
Maybe you can send back your QC2 to let LRP take a look at it, so you can get is fixed for FREE, or even better get a new one for FREE.
They claim that it is water and shockproof, and if it is not they should not let there customers pay for their mistakes.
They have to pay for it if they have made a mistake, not you!

When I send it back to the shop where I bought the ESC, they warning me that I wil have to pay the repair parts.
I do not see what parts could be repaired in a ESC with epoxy resin cover all the electronic......

It is a good thing for we people in Malaysia would just take our blown LRP esc to our local dealer and get brand new esc for free.....if the esc is bought from them. I'm impressed that these people recognise their customer who bought the esc from them. No need to show proof of purchase.

I borrowed my friend's GT7 and QC2 last week,... nothing so special about the two,... they look prettier though,... (the QC2 is small enough to vanish under the hot Balinese sun, hehehehhh...) I dunno about the other's opinion about batt-usage, but I think GT7 and QC2 eats my batts faster than my KO VFS,... well, maybe I set them wrong (considering how stupid I am w/ electric stuff
