I just wish someone would make a radio out of something other than cheap plastic. To me, all the high end radios feel cheap.

I know serveral Mars owners who wont move up to the Helios because the thing looks so hidious! So it does matter. Especially here in the US where people are more worried about looking good than anything else!

On another note...why would anyone think something is wrong with the Multiplex 707? It looks pretty good to me, and is light as can be! I guess beauty is truely in the eye of the beholder...
As I said, put a "Hemi" badge on it and the manly men will buy it.

People tell me the teal color of the 707 looks gay. I guess I must be gay then...

Yeah, I know what you mean, if you drop it once the battery cover comes out of place and you have to use tape to hold it on. Luckily they sell replacement cases.

Don't worry about that, in my experience, the people who like to make comments like "looks gay" have more 'issues' to worry about than other peoples radios.

I think the multiplex radios look cool. They definately make me wonder why other top of the line radios are so big and heavy, while not doing anything more than the 707.

yeah, my Lynx 3D suffered this problem recently! LOL I mean jezzz, you drop it off the back of a Dodge pick up just once, and the battery door breaks! What gives?!?

Seriously though, the top companies don't seemed too concerned with the plastic quality they use in the radios. Some, like my Lynx 3D, even cracked before it was ever dropped. At least Hitec fixes them for free.

Got mines for 140.00 w/ rx.

The latest one...though. I had a M8 before. The battery door kept coming off, so I sold it and went ahead and bought a XS3. But then I sold it and bought a M8 again
