Default need help, Carpet Track Discs/dots !!!

hey guys,

we are in the process of building an indoor carpet track and am gathering all the info and material needed.
am trying to find those round discs/dots to use them as apexes in corners, i do have the Losi ones but they are a bit small for 1/10. i saw few tracks in europe and the US where they use bigger ones, where to buy them ???
also how do you fix them on the carpet?? do you use any type of glue or what??

cheers

Ali

I know some use tractor dots, but those are very big and heavy. If you find ones with a flat base you can use velcro on the bottom to affix them tot he carpet.

What you seek is called a Plow Disc. It is used to plow up the earth on farms, towed behind a tractor.

A company called Roadrails makes dots(road domes). You can attach them using velcro or tape. I think there around 150dollars for 25.

Default Corner markers

Go to the Calif racing threads---

Check out the last races at TQ Raceway in Chino California. If you watch the videos and check out some of his corner markers--on the sharp 180 degree corners--he use a curled loop of flat plastic sticking out in a horseshoe shape---it allowed the car to "brush" against it and keep on going with a tight corner line!! It didn't damage the cars---- Or hold them up unless they were WAY to tight. No corner dots---and the track worked really well. Check it out--you may decide you don't need the dots!!!

I already have those with me so need to by them, those are plastic will do the job for now.

In an ideal word Stainless steel would be better.

PLOW Disc is your best bet they are stable due to their weight. They come in different sizes starting from 5 inches but I suggest 10 or 12 inches PLOW disc. a lot of farmers gave away use plow disc you just have to ask.
