Sorry, No VTA this year. 17.5 rubber tire, and Mod Rubber are the TC classes at this year's Champs. Speed control rules are still in discussion. The speedo ruling will be made before 8/6/2010.

Thanks starrx. My thinking varies slightly from ROAR's on the speedo topic, and I want to do what's best for the hobby/sport. The Champs staff will reach a decision and we'll let everyone know shortly. Stay tuned !!

4 classes for 12th scale..... just two for TC. 12th scale has a broad and diverse following at the Champs, and as a 12th scale die-hard, I feel it necessary to offer the popular classes for that discipline. As TC has waned slightly in the MidWest, I thought it was important to consolidate the classes so competition could flourish in the two rubber disciplines. If the FOAM guys show big interest, or the 13.5 rubber contigent does the same , we may open it up next year.

One more note of interest, I am VERY EXCITED to announce that Alpha RC F1 has signed on to sponsor the F1 exhibition class at the Champs this year!!!

Any commercially available F1 Chassis: Alpha, CRC, Tamiya, 3Racing, Cross, Kyosho, HPI, TRG, etc. is eligible. It will be a 210mm max width, foam tire, 2-cell Lipo, Handout silver can class. Looking at the F1 threads here on RCTech, it should be KILLER!!! Can't wait!!
