I believe it's the same kit, just need to use the Tamiya arms, hubs, etc. Still needs the Photon diffs and front belt, arm carriers, hinge pins and probably a few other bits and pieces. I think there was a list a few pages back for the parts needed to make a Tamiya version, check out post #151 in this thread. Both versions look pretty cool, but I agree tamiya blue is a pretty nice colour.

For those who had already put together and ran the Evolution conversion, I would love to hear your feedback. Deciding whether to get the conversion kit or the new TOP chassis.

Finally got some pics. I mounted the transponder in the front bumper. Has anyone tried this? Is it a bad idea?

Where did you get that Speedpower lipo pack from and how does it compare to thunderpowers?

Me and a few other guys at our club have transponder mounted in the bumper for a while now, no issues so far.

Nice pics, is is set up similar to Josh's ?

Ya. I used Josh's setup from the roar race. I did find I needed longer screws to mount the suspension. 16mm and 20mm. I also put a .1mm x 5mm shim under the steering arm.

You can order them staight from Speedpower. Prices are reasonable and it takes about two weeks to get them.
