I have a question for the FF guys.

I am planning to run FF next year for the TAC, will it be cheaper to get the pro kit or just the regular kit? and what would be the most important parts for the car? Thanks !

The dampers/suspension alone make the Pro kit worth it I feel.

What I meant was if the Ballistic's solder tabs would hit the motor stay (stock plastic or carbon motor stay).

Talking Ballistic motor in FF03!

The carbon motor stay will give you more room but the stock plastic ones will work also, the motor will be mounted so the tabs are at an angle and you'll solder the wires facing the inward rather than the normally facing outward from the motor. You will have to use almost all the wire provided and a long sensor wire to reach. Other than that everything will mount nice!
Just my 2$

Hi, how much wheel offset do I need on the FF03 Pro if Im going to use Tamiya CR-Z, Civic or Integra shells?

Will zero offset be enough?

Thanks

The suspension arms are the same ones as in the standard kit, they are not the reinforced hard ones as on a 417.

I think the Pro version is the better value. Upgrades that I recommend are;

- sway bars #54230
- alloy servo mounts (TB03 items)
- Carbon steering link #54261
- Alum spur gear adapter #54234
- Carbon rear damper stay #54258
- Carbon rear stiffener #54264
- Set of CVD (need several parts)

For conversion to rally, what's the maximum ride height for the FF03 before binding or driveshafts falling out? Can this be extended by adjusting the shock length, or some other part of the suspension?

Would the 201X slipper clutch fit, perhaps with a 201X layshaft?

Questions:

1. Whats the safest (but fast) brushless system I can use on the ff03 pro?
Ill be using this for bashing / drag racing. Im targeting 10.5T. Is it overkill for the gearbox? Ill be upgrading to a reinforced gearbox and TRF201 gears and
probably aluminum diff joints.

2. Im after 5.5:1 or below gear ratio. Does Tamiya make spurs and pinions for this ratio? The largest Tamiya pinion Ive seen is 29T, I think Ill be needing 33T.

3. Can I use TA06 gear diff? I dont have access to Spec R stuffs.

Thanks

Selling my FF03 Pro with a lot of upgrades. I just don't have a class to run it in where I live and I don't have the room for another shelf queen.

There's a few more days left in the auction.

I hate to see it go, but it will help fund the purchase of a 417 for USGT racing.

most of the height of "rally" cars is from the tires. Get longer drive shafts. If you want off road car, buy a off road car. Don't expect much clearance without extended shock shafts or hitting the droop limit.

1.10.5 is fine, some people have run it. Don't expect gears, or diff to last long. And don't expect any traction from a launch.
2. buy aftermarket gears.
3. no, not without major modification, go back 5-10pages and read up.

Ok thanks. So 13.5 brushless will be more forgiving you think? Ill just gear up higher for speed?

Anyway, what Tamiya shell can I use to achieve 245mm (medium setting) wheelbase?
