Yeah. You can run both expert and open. But if you run sportsman, you can't run expert or open.

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought it was only one or the other, but back in the day, when 19t was added you could run stock and 19t or mod and 19t but not stock and mod, but i could be wrong, and the rules could have changed.

13.5 = MOD. Less than 1 second per lap difference between the two classes. It's not needed.

There are two Stock TC classes. Sportsman and Expert. If you signup for Expert Stock, you can run in Open TC as well.

I'd be shocked if 13.5 isn't a little slower than mod on a huge track. The deltas seen at The Birds and Carpet Nats were with a 100 ft straight or less.

didnt 19t develope becasue the separation in speed from stock to mod was too great? Therfore; everyone stayed in stock, because only a hand full of guys (just like now) could actually drive a mod (well).

19T... the great stepping stone into mod that no one stepped off of.

Expert 17.5 with the advanced speedo's will be about the same speed in comparison to Mod as 19 turn was or pretty close. 13.5 was way to close to the mod speed....in most cases within .10 a lap of mod on rubber tires on carpet. 17.5 will be closer to correct gap.

17.5 Sportsman without the speedo advance timing will be where it should be as well. A lot slower than mod and 17.5 expert.

Mike ..... in most cases at the bigger Cali tracks 13.5 with dynamic timming is less than 0.5 sec slower with straight speeds not being a big difference. The mod gets it on the straight quicker but the 13.5's carry the speed commng off the straight and make up what they lost getting on. It's pretty freakin crazy!!!

Just to set the record strait. If you run Expert TC you can run open and vice versa. If you run Sportsamn you can only run Sportsman TC. Sportsman TC racers can race outside of Sportsman if a 2wd chassis classes is not offered as sportsman. So a sportsman guy would be able to run 1/12th Expert or WGT Expert.

Ruben thank you for clarifying, there was some talk of it at the race I was at today and no one knew the answer for sure.

It also looks like there maybe a decent contingent of East coasters coming this year. More than when I was at the Reedy being 2 of us lol.
