Default Masami....

With Yokomo having a good season on the European scene, should Masami come out of retirement to race at the world titles to possibly finally complete the task of winning every world title in ep racing?

Thoughts and views please

Don't know why he retired in the first place, he won a heat in the last TC worlds I believe. Volker seems to have the new BD flying so yeah I think he should. But Schui thought the same to and Nicos' spankin that

i think Ronald Völker has the ability to win the worlds

the only worry he will have is that Jilles will be with the Tamiya team for set up

BUT Ronald is German and the Worlds track is in Germany so i think he will be there every speare weekend dialing the car in for the track

i will be watching the race live but will be cheering on the Xray team

Maybe the situation within the team for Masami was not ideal, he had other motives to proceed with his r/c career without Yokomo.

But we may never know what motives they were....

I think the ultimate question really is "Does Masami still have the desire to win the worlds?"...

True. I think he would some desire too. He has come so close in 1/10th onroad and this car looks to give him his best ever chance. I would love too see him do it It would be a great story

With any hobby, I think there is a point where you peak in your capability and/or desire and maybe then you decide to take your racing less seriously.

Again, maybe this is what has happened to Masami, it is all merely speculation on my part

There are quite a few guys out there that could win the worlds, for sure!

I would love to see him win it but all his career wins speak for them self. He has nothing to prove even if he never wins this title. I would like him to race the whole year leading up to the worlds because just racing the worlds would put him at a disadvantage going up against that Rheinhard, Hara, Giles, Moore, Wilke, Volker and . . . . their are too many to continue!

He is definatly capable of competing again i think, its just a matter of whether he wants to or not. I dont think it would take him long to pick up his skills again...he is the master afterall
