I just noticed on the windshield of the body there was the part# 61733 on there. The part# I saw was on the back part of the body by the bumpber. So maybe 61733 might be the official# since it's on ROAR's site.

The car works with most body shells, dont think just cause Hara used it its better All of the other HB cars looked like they used an LTC-R, also being used by team Tamiya. Here in Australia Ryan Maker has won every event he has attended with this car using a speed 6! Just personal preferance, im liking the LTC-R, but still need to test the RIDE shell which Hara also used at TITC, I think he just likes to be different

How is everyone balancing the car with the heavier Lipos? I just built my TCX and when using the plastic battery holder/straps with an IP 6200 60C (weighs 305g) I find that I need to add at least 50 grams to the outer edge of the servo to get it balanced.

If you haven't tried moving the battery up against the belt, try that and see how much weight you need. The Speedzone pack I use allowed me to move inward about 6mm and the car balances fine.

i'm guessing you're taping your battery in at that point??

what do you do to keep it from moving left-to-right?

David's comment sparked me a light bulb moment! I prefer to use the battery holders so I removed the batttery stopper on the bottom deck. I then screwed some old Pro4 servo mounts underneath the top deck. One of them shared with the belt tensioner and the other on the spare hole near the pinion. Must be my lucky day because the Pro4 servo mounts are exactly the right size to keep the battery about 1mm clear of rubbing the front belt. Will post pics when its done.

cool! i'd love to see those pics - my car is horribly out of balance when i tried running my fantom 5600 packs, so bad that i ended up running my 5000 packs to get the car balanced better..not perfect, but better

maybe Mr. MikeR and exotek will have a better solution coming out I mean aside from swaping the entire chassis

Pics of the battery stopper mod. All of this was done with Pro4 servo mounts and the fan was done with TA02 servo mounts. The fan mount allows tilt and angle adjustment and if needed, fans can be split so one blows on the motor and one on the esc.

The battery has been moved so far that I had to use a soldering iron to melt part of the battery strap so the corally plug could go through! Like David Galdo said, the car is pretty much balanced when the battery is this close to the centreline of the car (assuming you are using the newer heavy Lipos like the 5500-6200). If you are using older batteries like 5000, the car is already pretty balanced in the standard position as the battery is only about 265g heavy.

Is your antenna wrapped up in that wire mess?? You really should separate all those to avoid any interference.

Nope not wrapped in that mess. Just the optical illusion of the pictures. Wiring has never been my strong point
