The SDK for iPhone OS 3 provides access to the dock connector. All you need is to make a cable from the dock to the Tekin and write the software. There's no need for jailbreak or access to the processor or any other uninformed ideas.

They have been trying to make it happen but Apple is not so much . Time to move on to others like Droid and Blackberry that would be more willing .

You cannot make changes to the ESC from that app.

Yeah and its a complete waste of money in my opinion as it cant do anything Gear it app doesn't do apart from take longer to use.

Oh gearing suggestion, but that is down to track size and layout anyway.

Pros are that is looks good

Hi Randy,

Maybe your programmer should look into getting this book ? It looks like making the iPhone app should be fairly easy now.

The main problem is coming from the software itself, it's pure .Net application with some external assemblies to manage USB communication...

So they will have to convert all the C# code into Objective-C and find something in the API to manager USB connector...

I'll keep my netbook for the moment...

If you want you can find some very compact tablet with Windows Seven (7") on eBay for quite nothing!

There are tons of companies that make plenty of use of the dock connector with no issue. Software is in a different format....rewrite it. Nothing is plug and play and there is a huge market for the software. Sell it on the App store for $20, there is definitely a market.

Im tired of carrying the laptop to the track and I sure as heck don't want to buy a POS netbook. And from talking to people at the track i'm not the minority.
